Onze volgende etappeplaats is het voormalige SNCF-station van onze vrienden/collega-camperaars Paul en Marja. Zij hadden ons per e-mail uitgenodigd met een groep regionale Nederlanders de voetbalwedstrijd Nederland-Uruguay te komen aanschouwen.
Our Dutch friends - motorhome colleagues - Paul and Marja live in a former railway station. We enjoy their hospitality not for the first time! The have organized a party for their Dutch friends living in the neighborhood to watch the world championship soccer. Holland beats Uruguay (3-2).
Veel aanwezigen - hier niet allemaal op de foto, de wedstrijd moest nog beginnen - hebben zich voor de gelegenheid in “passende kleding” gehuld.
Some of the soccer fans are dressed in orange to symbolize their connection with the Dutch team.
Vanuit de Limousin rijden we Zuidwaarts naar Corrèze, Dordogne en Lot.
From the Limoges region we head South.

Het centrum van Souillac met veel paté de foie gras, andere toeristische zaken en ook veel failliete winkeltjes.
The old city caters mainly for tourists (many shops gave up and are boarded).

Most rivers run in parallel from East to West. Between them are considerable ranges.

De weggetjes zijn soms aan de smalle kant voor Skoolie. Hier valt ’t mee, maar af en toe zijn ze smaller en dat valt meestal samen met steile afdalingen en haarspeldbochten.
Some of the roads are quite narrow. This one is all right, but some are about half this size, usually the ones going steeply up and down the mountains.
“Een kopje thee” bij Tilburgse vrienden in hun prachtige restauratieproject ontaardt in een oergezellige en zeer smakelijke barbecue.
We visit friends in their 180 years old farm complex. What was meant as a short visit for a cup of tea, ended as a barbecue feast.
Op het dorpsplein van het nabijgelegen Sousceyrac is een camperplaats. We waren bang dat er geen plaats zou zijn, maar we bleken de enige te zijn.

Een artistiek uitziende Fransman komt met deze Renault Colorale van eind jaren ’40 z’n Butagaz-fles ruilen bij de Spar.

Motek vindt een koel plekje bovenop de Vlijtige Liesjes en weigert vervolgens dat weer te verlaten. Vast niet wat de plantsoenendienst voor ogen had.
Motek decides that a bed of impatiens makes a nice cool place.
