Om 08:00 h vertrokken uit Tveria. Via Beth Shean naar de Sheik Hussein Bridge. Israëlische uitreisvisa gekocht voor € 18. € 1 betaald voor de shuttle die ons van de ene grens naar de andere brengt. Ron begeleidt ons tot het bittere einde: het moment dat we de shuttle instappen en dus geen kant meer op kunnen.
Aan de Jordaanse kant staat de bus klaar.

Onderweg van de grens naar Jerash zie we veel half-afgebouwde huizen en ook de nodige Bedoeïenententen.
Beduin camp which we see en route. We also notice that many houses are not completely finished. The landscape is beautiful, but the general impression is that of a rather poor country.
Jerash blijkt een indrukwekkend groot terrein. In een opvallend goede staat.
The archaeological site Jeras turns out to be huge in surface and remarkably well preserved.

Because of the mountain they had to construct a 90° angle in the Cardo. On that spot the „roundabout” is a forum (marketplace) at the same time.

In het theater treedt een groep van twee doedelzakkers en twee trommelaars op. Later demonstreert Nadjeh de uitzonderlijke akoestiek.
In the old theatre a band of two bagpipes and two drums gives a performance. The acoustic properties of the theatre are amazing.
Na alweer een lange en goed gevulde dag overnachten we in het San Rock International Hotel. Prachtige, grote kamer. De prijzen aan de bar zijn navenant.
Morgen vroeg weer op pad. In combinatie met het feit dat de klok vannacht een uur vooruit moet, wordt het een korte nacht.
The day has been well filled and very interesting. The San Rock International Hotel welcomes us with a glass of juice. Tonight we have to shift the clock one hour because of the Daylight Saving Time. It will be a short night, because tomorrow we start South very early.
