The landscape south of Sousceyrac is beautiful and ever changing with the occasional castle left and right of the road.

In Bouillac (Aveyron) vermeldt de Bordatlas weer een Stellplatz.
Place for the night in Bouillac (department of Aveyron).

We staan pal aan de Lot, waar Motek z’n allereerste (paar) echte zwemslagen maakt.
Motek returns from his first few real swimming strokes in the river Lot.

Daarna hervat hij zijn taak als waakhond.
After his bath bath Motek resumes his job as guard dog.

Volgende etappeplaats is Cordes-sur-Ciel.
Cordes-sur-Ciel, medieval town on a hill.

A steep lane runs from the motorhome parking into town.

On this town square we found a nice restaurant with a fantastic view over the valley.

From the town square to the top is a 20 minutes walk.

South of Cordes the corn gives way to vines,

de wijn voor zonnebloemen
the vines to sunflowers,

and the sunflowers to wheat. There are many huge combine harvesters on the road, usually as wide as two trucks. That leaves little space for us...

We spend a day off in the small town of Fanjeaux.

Because it is so hot inside we do the cooking outside on our portable field kitchen.

The 14th of July, the French national holiday, the sunshine has given way to threatening clouds. We don’t mind that the temperature drops!
